Faith-Based Counseling
Faith-based counseling is available upon request for clients who wish to include their Christian faith as part of the healing process. I work with individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs, and I deeply respect each person’s unique values, culture, and journey. My goal is to meet every client with compassion, without judgment, and to provide a safe space where you can explore what matters most to you.
If you choose to request faith-based counseling incorporated into your service, here’s what you can expect:
As a Christian, I believe that Christ calls us to love and care for all people. My faith is one of the reasons I decided to become a therapist, it’s part of my calling to walk alongside others with compassion and help them find healing, hope, and restoration. I believe that God can bring purpose even from pain, and that no situation is beyond His ability to redeem.
When life feels overwhelming, it can be hard to see a way forward. Yet even in the darkest moments, there is hope. One verse that has carried me through many of my own hardships is:
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
This truth reminds me that God is always at work, even when we can’t see it. It’s a message I hold close in my own life and one I often share with clients who are struggling to find meaning, peace, or direction.
Over the years, I’ve worked with many people who have experienced deep pain, loss, or confusion about their faith. Some have shared that they can’t feel God’s presence anymore. Others aren’t sure what they believe, or they’re trying to reconcile their faith with what they’ve been through. My role is not to judge or force beliefs, but to offer a gentle, supportive space where we can explore those thoughts and feelings together.
Faith-based counseling at Mountain Ridge Counseling integrates biblical truth with evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Together, we can look at how God’s Word applies to the struggles you’re facing, reflect on scripture, pray, or simply talk through your experiences in light of faith. Each session is tailored to your comfort level and spiritual needs—you set the pace and decide how faith is incorporated into your healing process.
Through this process, my hope is to remind you that you are deeply loved and valued. Healing takes time, but you don’t have to walk the path alone. Whatever you’re facing, there is always hope, and God’s love can bring renewal even in the most difficult seasons of life.
